CHARLES TOWN – Washington picked up three wins in non-conference duels Thursday night, downing Woodrow Wilson and Morgantown in a hometown showdown.  

The girls advance to a 11-3 record with a 5-2 win over Woodrow Wilson. Madison Vickers, Nina Tan and Rebecca Jenkins picked up wins in singles, while Jenkins-Caroline Diehl and Tan-Anna Walter closed out two games in doubles action.  

For the boys, No. 2 seed Michael Barr, Jacob Thaldorf (No. 3) and Jackson Sigler (No. 4) picked up singles wins, while Barr-Sam Dyck (No. 1), Thaldorf-Sigler (No. 2) and Killian Butera-Nathan Perry (No. 3) picked up wins in doubles for a 6-1 victory over the Flying Eagles.  

The boys team edged Morgantown the same night, advancing 4-3 over the Mohigans to sit at 13-2 on the season. Barr and Thaldorf picked up singles wins, while Thaldorf-Sigler and Butera-Perry took home wins in doubles.  

The Patriots continue with duels throughout Friday and Saturday as part of the Eastern Panhandle Mixer. Other teams in the mix are University and Wheeling Park, as well as local panhandle teams.
