Sherando’s quarterback, Micah Carlson, completed 10 of 15 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns—all three to Santiago. He threw one interception.

Jefferson High hosts Musselman in its Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference opener at 7 p.m. on Friday at Shenandoah Junction. The Cougars won last year’s game at Musselman.
