On Friday, March 6, 2020, Donald Ardis, loving father, husband and grandfather passed away at the age of 70 in Charles Town, West Virginia.

Don was born on September 23, 1949 in Sumter, South Carolina to Henry and Dora Lee Ardis. He was a Vietnam vet.  On June 21, 1970 he married E. Elaine Hart. They raised two daughters, Dawn and Sonia. Don was known for his quick wit and kind and compassionate spirit. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  

Don was preceded in death by his father, Henry and his mother Dora Lee. He is survived by his wife Elaine, his two daughters Dawn Ardis, Sonia Malone, two granddaughters Kalie and Summer Malone, his three brothers, Roy, Roger, and Michael, his sister Sandy Ardis and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

One of two viewings was held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV, from 7 – 9 p.m., and the second will be on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Stephens Funeral Home from 6- 8 p.m., 304 N. Church St, Manning, SC. On March14, 2020, a graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manning, SC from 11 - 12 noon. Reception to follow at Cornerstone Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church, 2115 Greeleyville Hwy, Manning, SC 29102.
