Jeral Milton, 64, of Charles Town died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville.

She was born in Jefferson County on Oct. 29, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Paul William Milton and Lucy R. (Rosenberger) Milton.

Jeral retired as an Attorney at Law.

She was of the Methodist Faith.

She graduated from Charles Town High School, class of 1972. West Virginia University, class of 1976. George Washington University with a Law Degree Doctor of Jurisprudence.

She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Arts and Humanities Alliance of Jefferson County, She was Treasurer of the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee from 1998-2002.She was a volunteer at the Jefferson County Museum. Member of the Walking Warrior Alzheimer’s Group. Past President of the Board of Directors of the Old Opera House Theater Company. Member of DAR. Longtime member of the Play Selection Committee of the Old Opera House.

She is survived by her brother, James “Jay” Milton and wife Bonnie, of Charles Town; aunt, Helen Keller, Strasburg, Virginia, numerous cousins and uncle Donnie Holsinger.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town with the Rev. JoAnne Alexander officiating.

Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60601 or the Jefferson County Museum, 200 E. Washington St., Charles Town, WV 25414.
