Carroll “Buck” Ernest Bolyard, 61, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Reston Hospital Center.

Born September 21, 1959 in Kingwood, WV, he was the son of the late William Warren Bolyard and Margery Shaffer Bolyard.

Buck worked as an electrician and was an experienced tradesman in a variety of fields.

As a youth he enjoyed baseball and was a skilled player from Little League through Babe Ruth and his high school years.

Buck was well-liked, very charismatic and fun to be around. He would always be ready to lend a helping hand to people with his handyman skills, performing jobs with meticulous precision.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Carly Erin Bolyard of Frederick, MD and Jerika Rein Bolyard of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, John W. Bolyard and David A. Bolyard, one sister, Ronetta S. Wixson, all of Frederick, MD; and one nephew, Michael Baer, II of Purcellville, VA and many cousins. He will lovingly be remembered by Micki Denise Goebel and brother-in-law, Thomas A. Wixson.

He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Mona Kay Spanos.

Services were held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family received friends from 4:00 to 6:00 at the funeral home.
