Anna Mae Coffman,77, of Leetown passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville.

She was born Feb. 28, 1942 in Charles Town. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Sine and Gloria (Littleton) Sine.

Anna’s first job had been a clerk at the “Old Silco” Station in Charles Town, then she went to work as a local Telephone Operator (One Ringy Dingy, Number Please) and ultimately, went to work for AT&T and retired after more than 30 years of service.

She was a member of St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Charles Town.

Anna was a loving and devoted wife of 53 years to Ralph E. Coffman who preceded her in death on Monday, Dec. 11, 2019.

She is survived by her brother, Ted Sine and wife Ramona, of Kearneysville, her sisters:  Jean Mangold and husband Jim, of Ranson, Helen Jenkins and husband David, of Ranson, Daisy Laycock, of Summit Point, brother-in-law, Danny Jenkins of Charles Town and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna is also survived by her “four legged son, Grayson” who she really loved, as well as, all of her cats she cared for, during the years she’s lived in Leetown.

Anna was an avid reader. She loved romance and mystery novels.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Jenkins and brother-in-law, John Laycock.

Services will be held at noon Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 at St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 S. Seminary St., Charles Town with Pastor Diane Day officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Relay for Life, c/o Patricia Ott, 145 Donald Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414.
