Edgar D. Dillow, 84, of Ranson, passed away Wednesday, Apr. 17, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born Oct. 12, 1934 in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Dillow and Gertrude (Russell) Dillow.

Edgar began his employment with Dodson Plumbing and Heating. He worked in Rockville at Fisher and Strachan. Then in 1988, he worked at Halltown Paper Board until retirement in 1996. Edgar wasn’t one to sit around and found himself bored and worked for the Postal Service for several years after retirement.

Edgar is a veteran and served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve.

He is survived by wife of 47 years, Ruth Elizabeth (Dodson) Dillow at home; one daughter, Alisa Dillow of Hagerstown, MD; one son, Curtis Dillow, wife Tania of Martinsburg; three sisters, Faye Johnson of Ranson, Betty Grey of Halltown, Daisy Stanley of Charles Town; one brother, Donald Dillow of Winchester, Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granchild.

Edgar was a member of Bolivar Pentecostal Church.

Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Apr. 26, 2019, at Bolivar Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bev Turner officiating.

Interment will be private.
