Sterling Glenn Wilt, 72, of Charles Town, WV passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born June 18, 1948 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Everett Wilt and Myrtle Ott Wilt.

He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp. and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town, WV.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Wilt, at home; one son, Todd Wilt of Charles Town; one granddaughter, Ashley Wilt of Middletown, VA, one grandson, Logan Wilt of Stephen City, VA and two brothers, Dave and Tom Wilt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Doris Nicewarner and two brothers, Ronald and Larry Wilt.

Sterling was a member of the following organizations:  Past Master of Malta Lodge #80 A.F & A M in Charles Town and Past District Deputy Grand Master of the  15th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of WV,  Eastern Panhandle Past Master’s Club, Past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons, Chapter # 5 of Charles Town, now Bethesda #16 Lodge in Middleway, Past District Deputy Grand High Priest of 5th Royal Arch Mason District,  Past Commander of Potomac Commandry #5 Knights Templar, Scottish Rite Mason 33rd Degree Mason Valley of Martinsburg, Past Venerable Master Assistant Representative to Soverign Grand Inspector of WV, member of Osiris Shrine Center in Wheeling, WV, Past President of Eastern Panhandle Shrine Club Board of Directors and a driver for Eastern Panhandle Shrine Club,  Past President and Secretary of Osiris Scooter Patrol in Wheeling, WV and Eastern Panhandle Division Osiris Legion of Honor, Osiris Hillbilly Clan#15, Taylor Shrine Club in Grafton, WV, York Rite College #175 in Martinsburg, Past Governor Associate Regent Conferred Order of Purple Cross, Past Grand Tall  Cedar of Shenandoah Forest #150 Tall Cedars  of Lebanon,  in Martinsburg, Knights of Pythias, Blue Ridge Lodge #131 in Ranson and Past Chancellor Commander and member Southeastern Pytherian Association , Harpers Ferry/Bolivar District Veterans, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 824 in Winchester, VA, Elks # 778 in Martinsburg, WV, American Legion Post #71 and Moose Lodge # 948, both in  Charles Town.

Services will be private.
