Wayne Marshall Barron, 72, of Summit Point, WV passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born December 18, 1946 in Charles Town. WV, he was the son of the late Albert Marshall Barron and Ruth Estella Mills Barron.

Wayne was a car enthusiast and enjoyed cruise-ins. When Louise was able, they would attend weekend dances and dance the whole night through.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW and the American Legion, all in Charles Town and the Eagles Club in Brunswick, MD.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Louise Jenkins Barron, at home; one daughter, Kim Athey and husband, Lee of Kearneysville; one son, Kevin Barron and wife, Laurie of Bunker Hill; two grandchildren, Kyle and Carly Athey; one nephew, Christopher Barron and many cousins and extended family.

In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Barron and stepfather, Larry Swope.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to the Lung Cancer Association.
