Lester “Tom Dick” Carlton Longerbeam, 76, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Clarey Grove Center in Martinsburg.

Born March 9, 1944 in Millville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas Longerbeam and Annabelle Ballenger Longerbeam.

He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #948 in Charles Town, WV.

He was first employed by US Steel at Millville, later at East Alcoa in Frederick and lastly for Crider & Shockey Concrete in Winchester.

Tom Dick loved his trucks and enjoyed going to truck and tractor pulls.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Evelyn Ingram Longerbeam, at home; one brother, Mick Ballenger and wife, Bonnie of Charles Town; one aunt, Nellie Longerbeam, three nieces, Tammy, Bonnie Jo and Kelly and good friend, Gary Kelican.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Gregory Ballenger and two uncles, Preston and Linwood Longerbeam.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
