George Randolph Talton, 93, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, WV.

Born February 28, 1926 in Hamilton, VA, he was the son of the late Clayton Talton, Sr. and Malcolmo Lynn Talton.

He was a member of Silver Grove United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

George was retired from Loudoun County Milling Company with 36 years of service. Previously he was employed by the Loudoun County School Board for 9 years.

He was an avid Orioles and Redskins fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rosetta Mae Piper Talton; three daughters, Cynthia Mae Crawford and husband, Dennis of Charles Town; Sharon Fay Grey of Martinsburg and Roxana Marie Talton and fiancé, Derrick Tigney of Martinsburg; one son, James Randolph Talton and wife, Melissa of Ranson, one brother, Albert Talton, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and in-laws.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Charles and Clayton Talton, Jr.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Silver Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Lida and Rev. Bucky Chapman officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Grove UM Church, 95 Church Hill Lane, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
