LaVhan Jamir White passed away from Dipg Brain Tumor Cancer, after almost a year of fighting.

Born November 17, 2011 he is the son of Candace Nicole Fisher and stepmother, Jackie Dee Sheppard, and the late James Russell White.

He is survived by five sisters, Amyah Ritter, Shawna Ritter, Nakesha Sheppard, all of Martinsburg, WV, Shauwntae Jones, and Jasmine White, of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Ziar Ritter, of Martinsburg, WV, and Tarez White, of Washington, DC; and two grandmothers, Mary Ritter, of Martinsburg, and Henrietta Sheppard, of Charles Town.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandmother, Nancy Bradley.

LaVhan had many special family members, lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was a student at Berkeley Heights Elementary School. He gained many friends through school and sports. LaVhan was the smile and sunshine to everyone’s day. He leaves his two dogs that loved him so much, Sasha, and Shorty.

We would like to thank everyone for their support through his battle of Dipg and the one that helped us take care of him. Thanks to everyone for their continued prayers. Special thanks to his aunt, Brandi Ritter, and uncle, Michael White for helping us take care of him and be comfortable during his last days and to Hospice.
