Evelyn A. Thomas, 88, of Charles Town passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 at her residence under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

She was born July 18, 1932 in Arlington, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late George Boswell and Margaret (Coram) Boswell.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and homemaker.

She was a member of the Wainwright Baptist Church, in Charles Town.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. Brown, of Charles Town; grandchildren, Danielle Creamer and husband Reggie, Derrick Brown and wife Maria, Aaron Brown and Dana Lewis and husband Ty; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and sister, D. Elaine Davis.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. William Thomas who died in 2004; son, Maurice A. Brown; sisters, Thelma Duson and Yvonne Shepard.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
