Gayla Faith Grove

Gayla Faith Grove, 78, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at her residence.

Born June 15, 1941 in St. Charles, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John James Wilson, Sr. and Pearl Bertha Cinnamon Wilson.

She was a member of the Church of the First Born.  Gayla had  tremendous faith in God and knew everything would be okay.

Gayla worked at Loudoun Hospital for 30+ years, starting as a nursing assistant and on to be a sterile processing technician.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Grove and Machelle Grove and husband, Dexter Wolf and two sons, Marshall G. Grove, Jr. and Gary L. Grove and wife, Patricia and also Joyce A. Shipe, whom she raised as her daughter, and her husband, George; four grandchildren, Terry Curtis Kelican and wife, Jennifer, Meagan P. Grove, John Austin Kelican and fiance’, Melissa and Denver L. Wolf, two great grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Kelican and two step grandchildren, Michael and Micole. She is also survived by two brothers, James Wilson and wife, Inez and Paul Wilson, Sr. and wife, Zoellen, one sister, Carrie Christian and husband, Byron and a very special sister-in-law, Suzie Breeden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Glenn Grove, Sr. and eight siblings.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Danny Nick officiating. Interment was in Silver Grove Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may  be made to Hospice of the Panhandle or Alzheimer’s Association.
