James W. “Jamie” Ott, 51, of Charles Town, West Virginia passed away February 26, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.

James was born September 24, 1969 in Winchester, Virginia. He was the son of the late Donald  “Donnie” Ott and Connie A. (Moler) Ott.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, past member of the 4H and FFA. He proudly earned the WV State Degree with the FFA. He loved watching his daughters show their animals at the 4H and FFA events and also loved fishing and hunting.

Surviving his wife Dottie (Rinker) Ott; daughters: Molly Ott and friend Connor Thunell, and Grace Ott, all of Charles Town; sisters: Nicole L. Ott and Stan Tyskienicz, and Brienna L. Ott-Long and Jonathan all of Kearneysville; brothers: Christopher B. Ott and Traci of Summit Point and Joshua D. Ott of Kearneysville; uncle: Kevin Moler of Kearneysville. He had three special childhood friends who were like family: Allen Shackelford, Rendell Anderson and Mary Margaret Mickey. Jamie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jared Ott.

Family received friends at Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 West North St., Charles Town, WV, Monday, March 1 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

A Celebration of Life service was held at the church on Tuesday, March 2 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Duane Jensen officiating.
