Monica Arlene Staubs Bush, 83, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died on June 24, 2021 in Vero Beach Hospital.

Monica was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Charles Town, the daughter of Woodward B. Staubs and Frances Longerbeam Staubs. She was a longtime property manager and a custom art picture framer for many years in Arlington, Va.  

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William N. Bush; a son, Mark W. Bush; and grandson, Evan M. Bush.

She is survived by her loving four daughters, Valerie Pratchenko, Tracye Taksey, Billie Rutledge and Betsy Rives; one son, Phillip “Corky” Bush; loving sister, Linda K. Burke and step-brother, Rick Staubs; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va. with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
