Hunter Lee Muse, 17, of Ranson, WV passed away on January 16, 2020.  

Born April 4, 2002  in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of Kenneth Lawrence Muse and Kathy Lynn Mangold.

Hunter was a Senior at Jefferson High School. He was a very good basketball player  in the rec leagues in the community. Hunter was a fun loving guy who was always smiling.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy and her companion, Rick Mocarski of Ranson, WV; his father, Kenny and his companion, Liz Renner of Kearneysville, WV; two sisters, Maegan Muse of Inwood, WV and Kayla Meehan and companion, Norm Jones of Belair, MD; niece, Sailor Jones; maternal grandparents, James Mangold, Sr. and wife, Jeannie  special aunt, Karen Mangold, special cousins, Corey and Katie, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins, best friend, Mark Breeden and  Papaw, Larry Mason.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Leslie Mason and paternal grandparents, Aiton and Ella Mae Muse.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Ranson Civic Center, 432 W. 2nd Ave., Ranson, WV 25438  with Rev. Bucky Chapman and Mr. Joseph Burwell officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the Ranson Civic Center on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Corey Mangold, Norm Jones, Mark Breeden, Logan Cogle, Brandon Harrison, Tyler Sims, Carrington Robinson and Francis Diaz.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local youth basketball league for scholarships to help defray cost for youths that cannot afford to pay.
