Helen Louise (Dorsey) McDonough Foltz, 94, of Hagerstown, MD formerly of Charles Town, WV went home to our Lord, on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

She was born in Charles Town, WV on June 8, 1926 to the late Frank (Bill) Dorsey and Mamie (Breeden) Dorsey.

She previously worked at Silco Store, Van Tol Florist and Stuck and Alger Drug Store. She retired from Peoples Bank in 1989 after 27 years.

Helen graduated from Charles Town High School, class of 1944.

She was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church where she was a past Kindergarten Sunday School Teacher, past member of the church choir, and book club.

Helen was also a member of the former Citizens Fire Company Auxiliary and a member of AARP.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda McDonough Roof and husband Gary, of Maugansville, MD; grandsons, Stephen L. Hardy, Jr. and wife Barbara, of Martinsburg, WV, Jeffrey W. Hardy and wife Laura, of Fairview, WV; as well as three great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, and three great-great-grandsons.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard McDonough, her second husband, Wallace Foltz and her step-mother, Mary Hoff Dorsey.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, WV with Reverend John Bethard officiating.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charles Town Presbyterian Church, PO Box 89, Charles Town, WV 25414 or Citizens Fire Company, 245 Citizens Way, Charles Town, WV 25414.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington County and Julia Manor Nursing Home for their excellent care.
