Patsy Jean Grove Everhart, 73, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at her residence.

Born March 29, 1945 in Ranson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dearl Armstead Grove, Jr. and Genevieve Longerbeam Grove.

Patsy was a 73 year member of Silver Grove United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer, secretary, a dedicated piano player, Sunday school teacher, church trustee and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of “The Harmony Notes” which aired on WXVA radio station. Patsy was the secretary for the Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Department for many years and was a correspondent news reporter for the Spirit of Jefferson. She also worked several years in the family owned General store.

Patsy was everyones’ rock on the mountain. If you needed help just give Pat a call. She was well-known for her six inch high heels with matching purse. She loved her family and friends and she loved to laugh and had an extraordinary sense of humor.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lucinda Everhart Staubs of Harpers Ferry and Jeri Lynn Wines and husband, Todd of Harpers Ferry; three grandchildren, Brett Staubs, Noell Wines and Noah Wines; one great granddaughter, Alyssa Dawn Staubs; special brother, who she thought the world of, Blaine Grove and wife, Rose; sister-in-law, Garey Everhart and many special nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Jerry M. Everhart in 2014 and daughter Kimberly Dawn Everhart.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Silver Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Lida officiating. Interment was in the Silver Grove Church Cemetery.

The family received friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Thursday and Friday from 6-9 p.m.
