Michael Flay Walker, 68, of Ranson, West Virginia passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022.

Born January 11, 1954 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Grady Walker and Ella Williams Walker.

He was of Baptist faith.

Michael was a US Navy Veteran, with 24 years of service as a submariner, and also served in Desert Storm. He was most importantly a family man, whose presence will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 37 years Regina Valerio Walker, at home; two daughters, Christina Brinkley and husband, Thomas of Norfolk, VA and Jennifer Risenhoover of Schuylerville, NY; two sons, Phillip Torchio and wife, Jess of Anchorage, AK and Michael Walker and wife, Elizabeth of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 17 grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, Dustyn, Alex, Dakota, Kaleb, Grace, Shoshoanna, Nicholas, Jesse, Savannah, Rebecca, Jenabelle, Joshua, Lema, Simone and Mateo; 4 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Jace, Makayla and Maverick and four siblings,  Marie Walker,Debbie Surretsky and husband, Larry, Bobby Walker and wife, Dawn and Thomas Walker and wife, Carrie.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Walker and first wife, Frances Gail Walker.

Services will be Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Haltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
