A. Louise Jenkins, 95, formerly of Harpers Ferry, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Willow Tree Manor, Charles Town.

Born March 2, 1924 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late John William Russell, Jr. and Mattie M. Hough Russell.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.

She was a member of Camp Hill Wesley United Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry.

She is survived by her sons, David A. Jenkins and wife Helen, of Ranson, Daniel L. Jenkins, of Charles Town; grandsons, Russell L. Jenkins, David Jenkins, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kolton Jenkins, Dylan L. Jenkins, Amelia Jenkins, Mason Jenkins and Emma Jenkins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arnold Jenkins who died May 11, 2000; sister, Marie Sowers and brother, W. Cletus Russell.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town with the Rev. John Lewis officiating.

Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
