Calvin S. Ott, Jr.

Calvin S. Ott, Jr. 71 of Kensington, MD was born June 2, 1947 in Charles Town, WV.

He was the son of Calvin S. Ott, Sr. and Edith M. Longerbeam.

He is survived by one daughter -Debbie Malloy, four grandchildren -Michelle, -Katie, -Connor, and -Aidan, one nephew -Keith Ott, and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother -Ronald Ott.

After leaving a twenty-five year career in sales, he went to work for S.A.I.C., a government contractor, and was sent to work in the administrative section at the Advanced Technology Center in Gaithersburg, MD for seven years before moving onto Fort Detrick to work in Logistics for a rebranded company currently known as Leidos Biomedical. He was there for ten years.

He enjoyed being outdoors and in nature, spending time in Harpers Ferry, WV and scuba-diving in the Caribbean. His interests included collecting rare books and coins, maps, comic books, and unique historical items from around the world.

Calvin was a wonderful and caring friend to those who knew him.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will be in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
