Robin Collins Sheetz, 88, of Charles Town, West Virginia passed away at her home on Friday, June 4, 2021 under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Robin was born in Potomac, Maryland, on December 9, 1932 in the Collins family home place. She was the daughter of the late Robert Oscar Collins and Sadie Nell Floyd.
Mrs. Sheetz was a graduate of Allegany High School, in Cumberland, Maryland Class of 1950, she attended Maryland State College in Frostburg, Maryland, and graduated from School of Nursing Class of 1953 in Cumberland, Maryland. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, WV, a member of Wayside Garden Club, and member of the Western Memorial Hospital Alumni Association.
Mrs. Sheetz had been a registered nurse from 1971 to 1996 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, West Virginia.
She is survived by her daughter; Terri S. Mand, of Charles Town, her son; Randall “Randy” S. Sheetz, of Eighty Four, PA.; a sister, Brenda Dawn Budetto in Phoenix, AZ, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Randall Linn Sheetz, and a brother, Scott Corlet Collins.
The Sheetz family is very grateful for the attentive and loving care that was bestowed to their mother. It was this level of care that helped her to remain at home, in her familiar surroundings. It couldn’t have been accomplished without her dedicated caregiving team, Wanda Lee McDonald (friend and caregiver for 36 years), Alice Athey, Sally Tomlin, Dorothy Dyke, Ann McKee and Debbie Mizzles.
Family will receive friends on Thursday June 10th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church. Memorial service for Mr. Randall Sheetz and Robin Collins Sheetz will be Friday June 11th at 11:00 am at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Duane Jensen officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Edge Hill Cemetery.
