Jo Ann Nick Redding, 83, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at her residence.

Born May 30, 1937 in Bonnie Blue, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Milton Hawkins and Julia Casteal Hawkins.

She was a member of Daisy’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Jo Ann was a devoted soul who loved to go to church. She looked after many of the children on the mountain, over the years. She will be deeply missed by her family and extended church family.

She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Dignazio and husband, Lloyd of Harpers Ferry; two sons, Marshall Nick and wife, Melody of Harpers Ferry; and Allen Nick and wife, Nina of Harpers Ferry, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Linda Nick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 37 years, Theodore Nick and her husband of 10 years, William Redding and one daughter, Sally Beamer.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Dave Brown officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daisy’s Chapel Baptist Church.
