Stella Mae Fritts

Stella Mae Fritts, 91, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born September 16, 1927 in Loudoun County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Austin Wilson Everhart and Ember Virginia Jenkins Everhart.

Stella attended Bolivar United Methodist Church.

Stella enjoyed family get-togethers. Her family was her prized possession. She was the last remaining of her immediate family.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley F. Henry of Charles Town and Catherine “Cathy” Dinges and husband, Herbie  of Charles Town; and special daughter, Kaylene Stup of Frederick, MD; two sons, James F. Fritts, Jr. and wife, Diana of Winchester, VA and Larry D. Fritts and wife, Diana of Charlotte, NC; son-in-law, Alfred Kidwell, six grandchildren, Tracey Bussard, Chad Dinges, Sheila Owens, Brad Fritts, Tiffany Govender,  and Alexandra Long and six great grandchildren, Kayla Bussard, Bradley Fritts, Lilly Fritts, Austin Kidwell, Richie Bussard and Elizabeth Owens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Fritts in 1991, one daughter, Barbara Kidwell and one grandson, Devin Kidwell.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor John Lewis and Pastor Duane Jensen officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
