Gwendolyn Pearl Acty Twyman, 63, of Summit Point, WV, passed away at Canterbury Center on May 20, 2021 in Shepherdstown, WV.

Born October 25, 1957, in Fredericksburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Lena Victoria (Smith) Acty.

She was an Assembly Liner for Macy’s Warehouse and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Charles Town, WV, as well as a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Warrenton, VA.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Twyman Jr. at home; her two daughters, Jania Twyman and Maria

Fletcher; one son, Thyvein Goodman; two brothers, Christopher Acty of Connecticut and Tony Acty of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren, Davon Fletcher and Shanita Fletcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Lena (Tinsimore) Mallary; one sister, Malena Steward; and two brothers, Denise Smith and Jimmy Steward.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Zion Baptist Church, 108 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Charles Town, WV.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
