Connie A. Ott

Connie A. Ott, 70, of Kearneysville passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019 at the UPMC-University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Shady Side.

She was born April 23, 1949 in Jefferson County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Raleigh W. Moler and Velma (Demory) Moler.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Connie and her late husband “Donnie” owned and operated their farm “Briarwood” in Kearneysville.

Connie was a phenomenal cook and baker. Her specialty wedding cakes and candy were outstanding. She was an excellent seamstress and could construct any article of clothing, from shirts and dresses, to elaborate gowns.

For 30 years, Connie had been a volunteer and leader with 4-H. She loved the 4-H program and was awarded the “All Star” pin for her dedication.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she had been a member of the Bell Choir and played the piano.

She is survived by her sons, James W. Ott and wife Dottie, of Charles Town, Christopher B. Ott and wife Traci, of Charles Town, Joshua D. Ott, of Kearneysville; daughters, Nicole L. Ott and Stan Tyskienicz of Kearneysville, Brieanna L. Ott-Long and Jonathan, of Kearneysville; grandchildren, Molly Ott, Grace Ott, Blayne Ott, Gabriella Ott, Ella Ott-Long, Dean Ott-Long, Cody Hedge, Lane Hedge, Kailyn Hedge, Evan Ott-Williams, Rian Williams, Shea Williams and her brother, Kevin J. Moler, of Kearneysville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in by her spouse of 34 years, Donald L. “Donnie” Ott; son, Jared Ott and a brother, Perry W. Moler.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W. North St. Charles Town with Pastor Duane Jensen officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
