Brenda Marie Turner, 43, of Ranson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021, at the Mease Countryside Hospital, in Safety Harbor, Florida, due to cardiac arrest. Born on November 21, 1977, in Ranson, at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Brenda was the daughter of Susan Stagner and Kenneth Lee Turner.

She attended Jefferson High School and later worked at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, in Martinsburg, as a nursing assistant. Her friends knew her as a free spirit who loved life, had a good heart and was willing to help anyone.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children: Corey O. Lewis, of Ranson, Kayla M. Lewis, Airiana and Olivia Fausto, of Martinsburg, Alicia and Isiah Banks, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister Stephania A. Castro, of Tampa, Florida; her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Stagner; nieces Nikkaletta Martin and Carleena Castro; three grandchildren, and her very special step-father, Robbie Osment, whom she loved dearly. There was never a week or two that she didn’t call him all through her life, no matter if she was at her sister’s home in Florida or at home in West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clayton Stagner.

Funeral services were  held 12 pm, Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Pastor Clyde Eggleton officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to one’s favorite charity or to her children, c/o Corey Lewis, Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, 114 N. Mildred St., Ranson, WV 25438.
