Proposals

The Independent Fire Company at 200 West 2nd Avenue in Ranson is soliciting proposals for snow removal and ice control for the period of November 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.

The contractor will be expected to keep the area in front of our equipment bays to Fairfax Boulevard passible 24 hours a day. In addition, the parking area on the 3rd Avenue side and the alley between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue must be cleared for use as needed after the end of the snowfall.

The sidewalks around our building must be cleared within 24 hours after the snowfall has stopped.

Proof of insurance must be included with the proposal.

Proposals must be received by October 15, 2020.

    It is appearing by Affidavit filed in this action that the Petitioner is a resident of Jefferson County, West Virginia, but that the Respondent is unable to learn her current address.

    It is hereby ADJUDGED and ORDERED that the Petitioner, Luz Cordero, serve upon the Respondent, Victor Moten, Jr., through Counsel whose address is P.O. Box 344, Charles Town, West Virginia 25414, an Answer, including any Counterclaim, or any related defense to the Motion to Decline Jurisdiction, filed in this action on or before November 5, 2020.

    Failure to do so, thereafter judgment, upon proper hearing and trial, may be taken against you for the relief demanded in the Respondent’s Motion to Decline Jurisdiction. COMES NOW the Respondent, Victor Moten, Jr., by and through his Counsel, Kirk H. Bottner, Esquire, and hereby files this Affidavit of Unknown Residency in the above-referenced matter.  

    I, Kirk H. Bottner, Esq., after being sworn, do say that I represent the Respondent, Victor Moten, Jr. in the forgoing Motion to Decline Jurisdiction now pending in the Family Court of Jefferson County, West Virginia;

    That the Petitioner, Luz Cordero, is a resident of the State of West Virginia; and the last known address of the Respondent, in 2012, was: 821 N. Mildred Street, Apt 3101, Ranson, WV 25438 Jefferson County, West Virginia.

That for an undetermined amount of time, the Petitioner was incarcerated at the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, WV. Upon her release, the Petitioner is believed to be homeless.

 That the Petitioner’s residence has been unknown since December 2018.

    That I, as Counsel for the Respondent, have used all due diligence to determine the address of the Petitioner and have been unable to locate it. That the address of the Petitioner is unknown to me.
