NOTICE is hereby given that MOUNTAINEER GAS COMPANY, a public utility, has filed with the PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA, an application containing decreased rates, tolls and charges for furnishing natural gas service to approximately 220,000 customers at various locations in the Counties of Barbour, Berkeley, Boone, Braxton, Brooke, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Fayette, Gilmer, Grant, Greenbrier, Hancock, Hardy, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Marshall, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mineral, Mingo, Monongalia, Monroe, Morgan, Nicholas, Ohio, Pendleton, Preston, Putnam, Raleigh, Randolph, Ritchie, Roane, Summers, Tucker, Tyler, Upshur, Wayne, Wetzel, Wirt, Wood, and Wyoming.

The proposed decreased rates and charges will become effective November 1, 2019, unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission, and will reduce revenue approximately $3,848,000 annually, a reduction of approximately 3.9%.

The Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission are accepting sealed proposals for a Fireworks Display for our Independence Day Celebration to be held at dark on June 27, 2020 with a rain date of June 28, 2020.   The RFP is available on the website at www.jcprc.org or a copy may also be picked up at the Jefferson County Community Center, 235 Sam Michael’s Lane, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442.
